It was 2015, and I was sitting in my home office in complete silence because that's how empty it felt. Both my kids had just left for universities far from Dubai, and I was wondering what to do with all the extra time I had. Missing them a lot made me look through old family photos more often, and I realized – these pictures were terrible! But instead of feeling bad, I thought, "There are going to be so many more amazing moments ahead." So I decided to learn photography just to take better family pictures. Here's the crazy part – I absolutely fell in love with it. Being a people person, I naturally gravitated toward portraits. There's something magical about capturing someone's real expression forever.

But then something amazing happened. Through these portrait sessions, I realized I wasn't just taking pictures – I was helping people. They would walk away standing taller, feeling more confident.

That's when it clicked. This was my answer.

So in June 2023, after 34 years in the corporate world, I launched my portrait photography business. I believe I'm on a journey of connecting with people to make them feel seen and valued so that together we build empowered communities.
